zoomer.de to be shut down
11 Feb 2009 from Andreas Feuerstein, postet in Customers
An ambitious project comes to a close - zoomer.de will be taken off the net by February 28, 2009. "A pity and very sad, but a bitter reality," editor-in-chief Frank Syré concludes. "We did not have enough time to achieve the necessary economic stability for this courageous idea. The economic crisis has reached us and our parent group."

We are deeply affected by this bad news, since the project achieved so much over the last year. zoomer.de has become the shining example of how a modern newsportal can and should look like. It dared to do what others flinched from - to establish a newsportal as a platform for dialogue between the editorial staff and its readership. In terms of implementing this idea the project was a complete success. The editorial stuff and we as technical supplier disembark with our heads held high.

zoomer.de's end also leaves its mark on Lovely Systems. As of now we will work with a smaller, but all the more quick-witted team of developers, continuing to develop the best technical solutions for our customers.
