beta testing the venice project, which is now joost.

For those of you who have not heard about the venice project / joost yet, here is how i would describe it in short: IP TV with community functions. I m subscribed to a very interesting mailing list named after an asian noodle soup, which opened the doors to get a beta account for the venice projct.
Somehow they managed to get a big buzz about what they do, which i think is a bit over the top, but the whole thing is quite interesting.

why?

first, the video quality is very good. that was the first thing which struck my mind.
second, they have a bit of content and it looks like they might manage to organize more.
third and the most important thing: it looks like they have an architecture which allows the creation of all sort of plugins. That is very, very powerful. Combine IP TV with the freaks out there and chances are quite good that they will write applications which blow your mind.

Looking forward to see more.
